250 USA Uplift Someone, Austin
250 years ago, a small group of people decided the status quo wasn't working — and took a stand that built a country.
This summer, I started something small in comparison: finding one person to uplift at a time, in person — a song, a poem, or a story, and some genuine attention. The only requirement is an openness to receive.
It happened unexpectedly without a formal plan. It started with an uplift — a song for a man whose cancer had returned, a song for a friend moving his wife into memory care. What I found is simple: a small investment of time created a powerful uplift for those open to receive.
What I didn't expect: every person so far has carried their own quiet resolve — a pull back toward something real, away from something none of us can quite name, but all of us can feel.
This is 250 USA: 250 people, 250 years, one moment at a time. The intention is to complete by July 4, 2027 — we are Travel'n Slow and following the flow. It happens when it happens, with whoever it's meant for.
Unexpectedly, this project found its way to something else I've been building. The two turned out to be one story all along — more on that soon. If you can't wait, check out the Analog Rebel Podcast.
250 USA — Uplift Someone, Austin. Protocol:
- Play — A song, a conversation, a poem — whatever the moment calls for.
- Sign — You sign the Stay Present journal — proof we crossed paths.
- Capture — We snap a photo to capture the moment.
"We are uncovering what speed forgot."
Somewhere in these 250, there's a moment meant for you.
This page will tell the stories as they happen — a place for them to live permanently, no matter what changes elsewhere. Come back and watch it grow.
(Note: Some stories will be anonymous or left out depending on the person's preference)
